Anyway, I am thrilled to have a reliable pet-sitter again. Maybe this means I can travel more. I don't really like to travel though. The plane trips are stressful but I can't beat the speed. How else can I wake up in Minneapolis and be working in Tucson in the afternoon. It is almost 9pm, that's 11pm in Minnesota. No wonder I am so tired. 4 more days until the weekend!

Back in My Own Bed
I'm back from my trip to Minnesota and sooo tired but I just wanted to tell you that I am home. The dogs were thrilled that I came back. The cats were both aloof and curious. The quail didn't care either way. The pet-sitter did a good job of not only keeping my pets alive, but all of my plants made it too. She definitely earned her $40 a day. That's a lot of money in Tucson and hardly any money at all in Southern California. My sister was telling me that she paid someone $20 a day just to be a back-up pet-sitter for her one dog. The person didn't even have to do anything, just be on-call in case the other pet-sitter had a change of plans.

We went to college in Tucson . Where do you live( just general area?) we often think of retiring there in 4 years but not sure we could afford it.
My pet sitter charges $35 a day to watch both dogs. And she is super sweet with them. And patient with me, too, like when I forget that Aug 14-18 is five days, not four. D'oh..
christina, I live on the east side. It's a 25 minute commute to work but it is affordable and safe and no HOA which was important to me.
Well then, big sis, sounds like I got a bargain at $40 for 3 dogs, 5 cats, 3 quail, and watering of the garden!
