Big News for My Master Plan

On Thursday, I got a call from the contractor who is going to be taking down my decrepit garage.  He told me that he wants to buy my 2 cars AND my RV!  I am thrilled!  We figured out the details and his office manager sent over a contract.  Now I won't have to deal with towing the cars and RV or showing them to strangers or any of that.  The contractor will provide transportation and figure out how to get the garage door open to get the left car out and how to get the RV out.  I don't know if he will be bringing his bobcat tractor but he will definitely need to remove a few shrubs which are growing in front of the RV.

This new turn of events means that I have a lot to do before next Saturday.  Today I brought a load of dirt to fill in some of the holes in my driveway.  It helped a little but I really should get a whole dump truck of dirt and a grader to spread and compact the soil.

Is this a driveway?  Looks more like a bunch of rocks.
I was hoping to get the RV emptied and cleaned and get everything out of the garage and empty the water tanks and move the brick pile outside the garage but, as you can probably guess, that is way too much for one day.  After unloading the load of dirt in the hot sun, I knew I was only going to get 1/3 of my list done.  It took hours to move all of my stuff from the RV to the mobile home.

Why do I have so many clothes?  I don't even wear these!
I decided to move it to the mobile home instead of bringing it to the house because I didn't have time to sort it at all and my living room is getting full.  After the garage, cars, and RV are gone I can focus on sorting the stuff.

The RV is empty now except for the storage compartment underneath where the packrats have been partying.  I haven't decided whether I am going back out there tomorrow or maybe I will take a half day on Friday.

It doesn't look like a lot to move but those bricks take forever especially when I have to be watching out for scorpions and other not so nice creatures.
I need to wipe down everything in the RV and vacuum.  I also need to move the brick pile and the rest of the stuff in the garage, finish emptying the water tanks and move them, salvage anything else from the garage.  I'd like to take the gutters off but that is not a good job for me alone on a ladder.  Maybe the guys will take them down for me when they demolish the garage.

See the footprints?  Cat and mouse or maybe cat and rat.
I didn't see any snakes. I hope they are sleeping but it was warm enough for them to be out if they wanted to be.  I'm excited with all of the progress and I hope everything works out as planned next weekend so that I can move on to the next step in my master plan to simplify, consolidate, and reach my financial freedom goal.

Thats really exciting. A lot of progress is a short time. I 'miss' when you lived out on your land, although the whole snake thing certainly stops me getting too dewy eyed about it!

Egads, Daizy, I got worn out just reading about all you had to do! LOL

You know.......if you want some opinions about the clothes in that picture, you can always model them and put some pics up and we'll let you know! :p

I miss my land too, Lizzie. I just can't seem to give it up. It is going to be weird without the big garage/barn. I'm hoping it is the beginning of some good changes out there.

I couldn't convince myself to go work out there again today, Dave. Boy am I sore from carrying boxes and it was in the 80's again. A fashion show could be their last hurrah before going to the Goodwill. Most of them are business casual clothes for work before I started wearing jeans everyday (and getting away with it).
