Preparations Almost Complete

It was a stormy morning, the kind that makes you want to turn up the heater and go back to bed. I did get a nice nap today and when the rain finally stopped I headed out to complete my chore list. First to Big Lots, then Ross, then Bed Bath and Beyond (for the elusive toilet seat lid cover), then Home Depot and a meet up with the people who adopted my rottweiler so they could return my dog crate, then Safeway and finally Walgreens because I couldn't find Goo-Gone anywhere else and my ex-dog sitter managed to get something sticky all over the inside of my dryer. Whew. I was very tired when I came home and did not want to unload the truck but since no one else was around I had to do it. Then it was time for some macaroni and cheese and ice cream.

After a little rest I dragged the mattresses around and put my queen bed in my parents' room and put the full size bed in my room. I ended up buying some boards to use as a frame and cutting them to 4' 10" and then placing the blocks just in far enough so that they won't hit their toes on them...I hope. I need to get some blocks for my bed but I didn't have enough time for that today. I also realized that I don't own any full size sheets. Oh well, I will make do with queen size and I grabbed some elastic sheet holders so I can make a flat sheet fit my bed if I want to.

I am not looking forward to going to work tomorrow and facing a week's worth of email and phone messages. Hopefully it will be a slow day so I can get caught up. Then it is back home to clean the floors, set up my plastic table in the dining room, move the dog fence and all the dog stuff to my room, and clean the bathroom. I have an hour and a half for all of that before I run to the airport to pick up my parents. I think a few things might not get done in time but as long as I pick up my parents on time it should be ok.

It will forever be a mystery Lizzie since I do not intend to ask her. It did come off with some scrubbing. Her memory has been erased!

I hope things will calm down again one of these days Dave. At least most of the big chores are done. Now it's time for car shopping and showing the parents around town.

I must admit it is nice to be able to call home and have someone there to do things. Now I won't have to take time off to meet the cooler repairman.
