I know I am supposed to be happy when people are interested in adopting my dogs BUT the reason I spend almost every Saturday at adoption events is so that I don't have to try to coordinate meetings during the week. Wouldn't you know it, I have 2 people that want to meet dogs this week and when people fall in love with a dog they want them NOW!
I work the entire week and after work it is dark so that doesn't leave much time to drive dogs around town. Still, I do want to get dogs adopted so tomorrow I am bringing one to work with me and at lunch we are going to meet a chihuahua to see how they get along. My boss decided that I should join in on a conference call at 1pm so I won't have much time before I have to hurry back to work. Hopefully they will like the dog and want to adopted her.
Then there are some other people who are interested in my newest foster. They did meet him at the adoption event on Saturday but they want to make sure he gets along with their Australian Shepherd, which I am sure he will. The only problem is they are on the wrong side of town to be able to get there at lunch. I am hoping a friend can take him for me. If not, maybe I can get out early on Friday. It would be great to get him adopted. He's a bed hog.
