I think I will go ahead with it. I'll have to find out how much I would lose. If it is less than $1,000 then it would be better than losing the whole house because I couldn't get my loan straightened out in time.
I was starting to think that I wouldn't hear anything for a long time. Now I have switched my thinking back to the house and it is exciting. I guess I won't need to get started on my snake fence. That was going to be my project for the long weekend. Right now I don't want to spend any money at all. I should just have enough to cover the down payment and closing costs and Christmas presents. I think I went a little overboard on the gifts because I didn't think I was going to get the house. Only the necessities from now on! Like, uh, toilet paper because I am about to run out.

wow, very exciting all of a sudden. I think this could really happen. Was it two years you have to live there?
Definitely have to get tot he shops today, 3/4 of a roll left in each bathroom. Too close for me to relax!

Nice Christmas present.

Good News! It sounds like such a nice house; roomy, nice yard, in good shape. Darn, that second mortgage wrinkle. But even if the second mortgage company can't get it together in time, it will have to in the near future.... won't it? So happy for you.
How exciting! Congrats.
Yes, Lizzie, 2 years. I don't know if I can save up enough money to move out in 2 years though. We will see. Oh, and I got my TP today! Whew. Plenty of rolls now.
Thanks Barb. I'm gonna worry about it until that second bank says yes though.
Anonymous, I guess that first bank can change their mind and go to foreclosure if I can't get everything together for their Jan. 25th closing date. That would be a shame.
Thanks Petunia. I studied the pictures of the house today and started making plans. It better work out!
