Tomorrow is another pet store day with the dogs. Maybe one of them will get adopted. I have 9 dogs right now, 2 of them are mine. Some of these foster dogs have been here longer than I expected. I think I will only bring 2 dogs with me tomorrow. It is hard to get more than that in the truck and I feel bad that they have to walk on the burning hot asphalt. I think it is supposed to be 102 again.
I don't have many plans other than that, just the usual, laundry, get propane, clean, organize, and most importantly, take a nap.

A normal weekend with normal chores - but without a mortgage. Bet that feels good. Good luck at the adoption event.
Daizy, I don't usually comment about the dog adoption part of your life. But around here (Long Island, NY) lately, we have had a lot of stories, some good and some bad, about the treatment of dogs. Some are good, like yours, about the care of dogs by private organizations waiting to be adopted. But some have been bad, such as the bad treatment of dogs by the local town-run animal shelter.
All of this makes me appreciate the work you, as an individual with far more limited resources, have done with your dogs and trying to get them adopted in a far less densely populated area than I live in around here.
Lizzie, I feel like I should be able to go on a shopping spree or something but no, that would be bad.
Well thank you Dave. It is something that I can do with the little free time that I have. It has kind of taking over though. I am still trying to find a good balance.
Sort of stumbled onto your blog from a link at another blog at PFblog.
I live in Yuma...well, actually Somerton which is just out the backdoor from Yuma.
Cheap to live here and I am walking distance to Main Street with several restaurants, grocery stores, and even a couple of convenience stores.
I am thinking about doing the land and MH thing out around Buckeye or in the opposite direction to the mountains between here and San Diego.
The balance on my mortgage is small but I keep it to keep more cash on hand because I am sort of in flux right now.
And, yes, it is hot and hard to get motivated to go out and actually do anything in the heat of the day. Thank goodness the evenings and mornings are still doable!
Houses are a lot of work and I also have a rental property so I am holding off on making a move until one or the other sells; but who knows when the market will pick up and right now the equity I had has mostly been wiped out.
tmgbooks, I lived in Yuma for 6 years. When I moved to Tucson the Summer seemed soo much cooler! The first year I was in Yuma it was 118. I sure don't miss that.
