Aww...none of my dogs got adopted today. 5 others did get adopted. I guess I can't be the lucky one every weekend. I stopped by Home Depot to look at construction material to fix my steps but it was just so hot today that I couldn't even think let alone start buying heavy materials. I ended up buying a few bags of cedar mulch to put in my dog run to make it smell better. I don't know if that is a good idea or not but I need to do something. My dogs are stinky.I didn't do anything else today besides sweep and watch some old episodes of Simon and Simon on Hulu.com. It was just too hot. It is still too hot to sleep right now at 9pm even with the air conditioner going.
Tomorrow I need to get propane and go grocery shopping. It would be nice if I didn't have to go anywhere but I can't put those errands off any longer.
The bird is a roadrunner that came to visit me at work while I was walking my dog. He ran right up close and then posed on the fence. I think he was annoyed that I was standing in his lizard hunting grounds.

Bad luck with the adoptions. Next week will be your week for sure,. I didn't know that a road runner was a real bird. My ornithological knowledge was gathered from Wily Coyote cartoons though.
This was a particularly brave roadrunner. I see him almost everyday with a lizard in his mouth. There are coyotes around too so he must be pretty smart.

Haha...coyotes that get that close usually have rabies so I think I will stick with bird photography for now. We actually did have a dead coyote pup in our parking lot last week. Maybe the roadrunner is the murderer!
Don't bet on it. Any telltale ACME explosives debris?
