I think half of Tucson got some rain last night. My coworker who lives central said she got a down pour. I heard some thunder in the distance but that is all. My new evap. cooler is working nicely. The only down side is that it only holds 4 gallons of water and that gets used up in about 4 hours. I need to either teach the dogs to refill the reservoir or buy a bigger evap. cooler. It has a timer on it so I thought maybe I could delay the start until later in the day but no, it just shuts it off, no delayed start. I looked up bigger coolers online today. The one with good reviews that holds 11 gallons of water costs $544! Wow. That's a lot of money. That's a lot of water too. I'm going to have to figure out my water supply before I buy that one. 11 gallons a day plus dog water plus shower water plus laundry water is a lot more water than I have been using.
When I got home today it did seem cooler. The hallway was cooler too. I guess that 4 hours of cooling does help. It was also only 101 today. Not quite as hot as 112.
Work was tedious because it seems that many people are leaving early for their vacations and all the interesting web sites are blocked so I am forced to clean my desk and file and try to think of some direction for my life. No, I still haven't figured it out. Maybe tomorrow I will have an epiphany.
I suppose running a slow hosepipe into the cooler would be asking for trouble from our four legged friends?
I was trying to figure out how to make that work but I think it would be too risky. I envision my whole water supply on the floor.
