Another Slight Set-back In My Mortgage Repayment Plan

My great plan to spend $5,000 on remodeling my mobile home so that I could move out of and sell my RV has stumbled. The handyman came out this morning and I showed him the floorplan that I drew of the mobile home and pointed out all of the things I wanted changed. I narrowed the list down to remove swamp cooler and patch the roof, add plumbing for kitchen sink, and add/repair electric so that I could add a water heater and stove.

After looking at my current available electric power he said it would probably cost around $5,000. That is bad. I was hoping it would cost $3,000 leaving me $2,000 to make the inside look pretty. Now it seems like it would be better to replace the whole mobile home with a newer model. That will cost around $50k I think because I will still need to pay to move it and have it set up and then I will probably still need the electrical panel upgraded. At least with a newer model I could rent it out to someone if I moved away. But $50k? That isn't in my budget right now. I guess I will just continue to live in my RV for now and see what happens. Now I need a different hobby since I won't be remodeling the mobile. How about a nice horse? :)

Hey, start a horse-care business. You can exercise and care for all the horses you want, and make money at it...

One of my co-workers suggested that and also that I could meet cute cowboys that way. It's the horse chores that I don't want. There's a place across town that leases horses for $260/m. If that was closer I just might do it!
