Another Week Closer To My Goal

This week was pretty good. I tried to accelerate my mortgage repayment plan by selling my stuff and planning my mobile home renovation so I can move in and sell this RV. Unfortunately I realize that I have over-estimated the resale value of my stuff in this economy so my 2 year accelerated plan might really be a 3 year plan. That's better than the 4 year plan so I am still excited.

My renters still owe me half of the rent which is due on Monday. They called me and asked if they could transfer the utilities in to their name and just pay basic rent. I said ok but I don't think they realized how much money they would need for utility deposits and activation fees. I haven't heard back from them. I don't think switching the utilities is as easy as they thought.

It rained hard last night and I got 200 gallons of water. One tank is full and the other is 2/3. So much water! I don't even know how to use it now. I am so used to conserving that I don't want to waste it. Plus the more water I use the more often I have to transfer water from tank to tank so the less water I use the less chores to do. When the handyman comes out tomorrow I hope he can help me re-design my water system to make it easier. If I put the 400 gallon tank near the mobile home I won't have to do my water chores as often. That will require some electrical work, something I can't do on my own. I am hoping the handyman's estimate isn't too expensive. I want my mobile home renovations to be my next hobby. It will be a challenge to find the most frugal ways to fix it up and make it look good.
