The weatherman did not say it was going to rain today but I am glad he was wrong! I came home to wet streets and water in my tanks. I have a window-less office so I didn't even know it had rained. It's not a lot of water, only 60 gallons, but if it doesn't rain until mid-July then I think I can make it with the water I have. I might even be able to do laundry and water my little plants (they will be happy). There is a chance of rain tomorrow too but I don't want to get my hopes up. This weekend I need to buy another trash can to catch my laundry water for the plants. The last one sprung a leak and I lost about 20 precious gallons.

I do love the fact that I can be self-sufficient with just rainwater in the desert and I won't have to pay anyone to haul some in. Next year, if I am still living in my RV, I will have plenty of water since I have 450 more gallons of space to fill. I wish I hadn't lost 100 or so gallons when the hose was siphoning without my knowledge but live and learn. I'm becoming an expert at this water rationing thing.
