10% Extra Sounds Too Good To Pass Up

This article at All Financial Matters talks about the retailers who will add 10% to the Tax Stimulus Rebate check that many of us will get soon. It sounds interesting. An extra $60 or so for groceries would be very nice since that is my biggest expense besides gas. I wouldn't just blow the money either. I would still stay within my monthly food budget and add my rebate check dollar amount to some other category like RV repairs. That is one category that needs some funding. When I came home today I noticed that the glass panel on the front door is loose. All of the caulk has dried out and cracked. I hope that is an inexpensive fix.

The only problem is that my favorite grocery store, Safeway, isn't one of the participants. Fry's (Kroger's) is on the list but I really dislike the parking lot at that store. It is so crowded and narrow. Would shopping there for the next 6 months be worth $60 if it increases my stress level? I'm not sure. Maybe more stores (like Safeway) will jump on the bandwagon in the next week so I won't have to make a decision.
