The first time I went to a real hairstylist was my freshman year of high school. I went to my mother's stylist and came out with...my mother's haircut. Later, in college I paid over $100 for spiral perms that took hours, were horribly painful and pulled out a third of my hair. I remember those poor little spikey hairs growing back in after it was all over. I think I got 3 spiral perms and then I never went back.

One of my friends took a picture from a magazine in to her stylist and came out in tears with very short hair. She let it grow out for 6 months and then went BACK to the same woman who chopped it, again! She is going to find a new stylist but I can't believe she paid that woman twice for a haircut she hated.
