I Got My Beads!

I am both pleased and disappointed with my beads. I burned some of the yellow and it looks grey. Some of them are lopsided. I melted the flowers beyond recognition. But on the whole, I would say it was a good first try. The woman at the glass store said they were some of the best first attempts she had seen. She probably says that to everyone.

I am tempted to go buy jewelry supplies to make bracelets and necklaces out of my beads. I think I should wait on that. I don't know anyone who would want a necklace that I made. Let's see if I have any extra money left over after Christmas. I want to take a class in wire-wrapping so that I can make my own clasps. Those are expensive. And then there are classes in knotting and soldering. So many classes! I never knew there were so many opportunities to learn new skills around my town. I need to learn as much as I can from library books though. Taking all of these classes will make me go broke fast.

Jacob used glass beads in his 4-H jewelry project. He says yours look just like what he used in his project, very professional!
