Check Hunting

I decided to drop by my bank on the way home from work today to ask about re-ordering checks.  The teller looked up my account and then had to ask the manager.  She said that my checks would cost $23 which is less than the online through the bank website price of $29.  She politely offered to order them for me but I declined   I knew I could do better elsewhere.

Looking up 'best place to order checks', I found a top ten list and started my research.  The first 2 companies looked promising but either their website wasn't easy to search by price or there were other fees.  I ended up back on the Walmart site and designed my basic checks for $7.46 plus shipping.  I'm 42 years old and this is the first time that I have ordered checks independently from my bank.  I feel like a rebel.  Haha. Now I just have to wait patiently for 2 weeks until they arrive.

Congrats on your finding a low-cost way of buying checks. Looks like you will pay what I last paid, so I toast you, you rebel LOL! :)

Bravo! I love this story. Short and to the point AND educational. I didn't even know I could order checks online! What a great savings.
Keep us posted on other rebellious activities you come up with.
