Turned Upside Down Again

Once again I am re-evaluating my goals.  My nephew is now going to live with his grandparents in another state.  His brother already lives there so we all thought it was best if they lived together again.  I am hoping that a 2 parent family will provide him with the structure and attention that he needs.  Of course, he will come back to visit often.  There is also the tricky issue of health insurance.  He is still on my policy which scares me because he will be out of my health insurance network.  The out of network deductible is $8,000 and after that they only cover 50%.  I wonder how Obamacare will deal with the out of network issue.  Maybe it will be better to switch to being self-insured next year.  I will have to wait until October to find out those details.

Without a boy to take care of, I guess I don't have to quit my job although I still want to.  Even if I moved back out to my RV and rented out this house, I would have to get a job at least part time.  For now I will keep working and saving and trying to get my online store together.  It's almost ready.  At this point, it seems like its success is the only chance I have at leaving my job.

Wow, all change in the Daizy household again. rent out the house, you know you want to get back to the desert! Living in a house in the town is dull (even if it is convenient!)

Bombshell news, Daisy. I am glad that your nephew has had both you and his grandparents and brother, all family, in his young life.

I am sure that you know about the Obamacare tax subsidies that will help a lot with paying those lovely healthcare premiums in 2014. I am looking forward to them, that's for sure.

Two rental houses and an online store. I hope you are able quit your job soon!

I think about it often, Lizzie, but I don't want to be stuck out there with no money for improvements. I would have to have a snakeproof fence and some type of sturdy building before I moved out there again. I'll just continue to clean out the mobile home for now and try to save my money.

Yes, Miss France, I hope the subsidies make it affordable. I'm worried though, because health insurance wasn't outrageously expensive in Arizona for high deductible plans and those plans will be changing. Oh well, I have plenty of other things to worry about, I will just have to wait until they tell us the details.
