I saw this Chevy Astrovan for sale. Just think of how many dogs I could get back there! Too bad the gas mileage is 16 mpg. I need to get one of those small school buses and convert it to use old vegetable oil. I wish I had the skills (and interest) in that but I don't so I will have to settle for a smaller vehicle and aim for 28 mpg if I can find it.

I have an 1999 Astro van that I drive to work 65 mile round trip. It gets about 22 MPG highway and has 251,000 miles and still going strong.

Thanks for the info dw. I won't cross it off my list then. I do like them because they are higher off the ground than a mini van yet smaller than a full size van and still have lots of room. and there are quite a few used ones to choose from.
