I've been looking at the 10 day forecast for rain and then suddenly I see rain forecasted for Wednesday. I sure hope I get some. Wouldn't that be funny if I got a lot of rain now that my tanks are halfway full? I suppose I should transfer my water to the jacuzzi to make room for the rain but I really doubt I will get more than 50 gallons in each tank which is what I got last time. Anyway, free water that I don't have to haul is fine with me. I am looking forward to Wedneday!
I spent all day getting ready for the dog adoption event and then going to the event 40 minutes away. After 4 hours of answering dog questions, I packed up and headed home. 5 minutes later I got a call from a lady who was interested in one of my dogs. Someone had filled out an application for him and then failed to return so I told the lady to check back at 4. Luckily I wasn't too far away so I went back and she filled out the paperwork. We are supposed to do a home visit so I followed her to her home which was about 15 minutes in the opposite direction from my house. The dog totally ignored her 4 cats and seemed to get along with her cocker spaniel so they were happy and I was happy. I didn't get home until after 6 which made it a very long day.
One thing that I didn't have time to do was to get another dog so I am down to my 2 plus 4 foster dogs. The house seems empty. I am sure there will be more urgent 24 hour notices this week for dogs in danger of being put down so I will most likely pick up a dog before the end of the week. In the meantime I will enjoy the peace and quiet of only 6 dogs.

"only six dogs".
:-)
Yup, it's all relative. 6 dogs is defintely more peaceful than 13 dogs!
