The last day of the month and I just barely made it with my payment. $1,386 for November which brings my mortgage total to...$8,851. I would like to say that I only have 3 months left but after adding up my bills from my trip I am still stuck at 4 months. The trip was worth it though. I would do it again if I could. And I don't regret the $35 box of See's candy for my parents either...mmmmm...See's candy. :)
If I don't pay any more extra I will still pay off the mortgage in 1 year and 3 months. So, adding months on to my plan cannot last forever. I do hope I don't have to add too many more months. I want this mortgage gone!

MMMMMM...See's candy!!! Yummy, if you go on any more trips you should bring that as a hostess gift again :)
So.....you are finally under the $10k mark! Congrats to you, Daizy.
You have been paying $1,386 a month for the last few months. If you can sorta keep up that pace (or increase it to $1,475), you can pay it off in 6 months. Or $1,770 a month for 5 months.
Either way, you will have it done by Indepndence Day, fitting enough. :)
Under 10k! Grats.
Well done, thats excellent. Just going to googles Sees candy!
That balance sure is getting low, congrats!
Did you decide to hang on to the money you received from selling your stocks?
Daizy,
Those trips to Mum and Dad for mutual emotional re-fuelling are priceless.
Anonymous, next time I go on a trip I am bringing a puppy as a hostess gift! ;)
Dave, I hope I don't have to extend it again...but with Christmas time it could be a possiblility. I didn't budget a lot of money for Christmas because I was hoping to have it paid off by October. Didn't quite work out that way.
Thanks KoBold. I didn't even realize it was under $10 until after I posted it.
Well Lizzie, did you find out what See's candy is?
Petunia, by "hang on" do you mean "spend" because I sure am doing a good job of it. The $1k for my trip came out of the stock money.
Anonymous, I agree. It was well worth it. Next time I would like to visit them when it is not 12F and snowy!
Nice work. Seems like the last few months are going to be the toughest, but that will make the satisfaction of completing the payoff that much greater when it finally comes.
