I woke up this morning, fed the dogs and went outside to check my trap. I didn't see anything but the trap door was shut. I looked closer and saw something black. It was my little lost dog!
I was surprised that I got her on the first try and very relieved too! I was afraid I would lose her again when I opened the cage door but I managed to get a collar and leash on her and get her inside.
She is sleeping on the floor by my bed now. It has been a long day so I think I will go to bed too.
Yay! That is great news. Glad she is safe.
I wouldda never thought that would work. Wow!
And I agree with anon above. Who would have thought a dog would walk right into a trap? I'm glad it did work though.
So glad! You must have slept well.
Lovely news, just right for the weekend
She is a cutie, glad she is safe!
Oh wow! I'm so happy for you! Don't know what I would've done if Rusty had been gone over night!
Thanks Marie. It sure was frustrating to see her everyday but not be able to get close to her.
Anonymous and Sallie's Niece, I had my doubts but I put the blanket that she had been on in a dog house and put food in there. Something was eating it but I wasn't sure it was her. Then I put the blanket and food in the trap instead of the dog house and there she was.
Anonymous, well, I did sleep better but my dogs are still noisy so I don't sleep that well.
Lizzie, ya and I am glad I am not chasing her all weekend. I have plenty of other dogs to chase!
Thanks Petunia. She is very sweet. She was sitting and waiting for a treat with all of my other dogs today. I think she is beginning to like me.
Ya Anonymous Brigiette, I've lost others but they always let me catch them right away so I wasn't that worried when she got away at first. But then when I couldn't catch her again and it was dark, that was scary. Good thing Rusty let you catch him.
