The cooler weather and my mortgage payoff date are like carrots dangling from a stick and the person holding them keeps taking a step backwards. It was supposed to be 95 on Sunday, nope, now it's 100 again. As for my mortgage, I think the payoff date has been stuck at 6 months away for 3 months now.I have the rent money and I have my "raise" bonus check for my extra payment this month but my bank account is too low to make the payment. I have practically no emergency fund right now. It will be safer to wait until my next paycheck before I make my September's payment which isn't for another week and a half. It would be fun to pay it now so I can scratch another month off my spreadsheet but it's too risky.
Oh, and for all of you who are interested in the Husky dog that I saved from the pound, his lab results came back and the lump on his cheek was not cancer so he should have a regular happy dog's life with his new people. Thanks again to all who helped with his vet bill.

Thanks Sallie's Niece. I am excited and yet it seems like it is shrinking in slow motion, probably because I had to add a few months back in to pay some bills. But at least it is still going down .
