Dog Days Of Fall

Yea! Only 83 degrees today. The air conditioners were off almost all day. The one in my bedroom is on right now because it is not cooling off fast enough in here. It will be back to 95 on Saturday but next week looks like the low 90's all week. Maybe one week of no A/C will save me from a huge electric bill like last month.

While the days and nights are getting cooler, the evenings are getting darker faster. By the time I get home, clean the dog messes, and walk the dogs, it is very close to dark already. That is the bittersweet part of cooler weather, shorter days and only a tiny bit of daylight after a long day of work.

I wore a long sleeved shirt to work today because I was tired of my summer wardrobe and it is usually cool in the office. Well, I haven't quite figured out how to control the temperature in our new office. It was very hot at first and I found the nearest thermostat and turned it down to 72. A little while later my boss came out of his office on the other side of the room and turned it up to 75. I guess he gets more of the cold air than I do. Luckily he is out of town a lot so I think I will be able to control the thermostat to my liking.

Tomorrow is going to be a long day because I have to take 2 dogs to the vet in the morning before work and pick them after work. My boss is in a good mood so he didn't mind when I said I might be late. And speaking of dogs, one of my co-workers brought her dog to work today. Her dog really likes me. It likes me so much that it peed in my office. I was just happy that it wasn't one of my dogs that peed in the new office first. So much for that brand new carpet. Our boss said that if your dog pees in the office you have to bring in cookies for everyone. That's kind of a strange punishment but ok. I like cookies.

Hi Daizy, I'd love to interview you for my blog. Would you be interested in that? If you are, I can be reached at letsbeselfsufficient@gmail.com

Daizy, you are in Arizona, right? AZ does not observe Daylight Saving Time so you were never benefitting from the extra daylight in the evening although you won't be subject to suddenly losing an hour of daylight in November like the rest of us will.

Blech @ the dog peeing in your office. I hope you can do something about that so it doesn't stink up your new workspace.

Let's Be Self Sufficiant, um, sure. I've never done an interview before. I need to add your blog to my blogroll. I like it.

Dave, that's right. No daylight savings time, just a gradual loss of daylight until I spend all daylight hours trapped in a windowless office...until the Spring of course.

I do have pet odor eliminator spray. I need to remember to bring it. It is a necessity at my house.

Great! I can't find an email address on the site. Could you send an email to me (letsbeselfsufficient@gmail.com) and I'll respond with the questions? Looking forward to it!
