I am doing very well on not going over my budget of $400 in June. Only a week and a half to go. $400 is the amount of variable expenses in my budget like gas and food. The others are fixed expenses and I can't do much about them unless I start cutting phone and internet service. If I am successful this will be the first month this year that I wasn't over budget. Sure, Jan. Feb. and Mar. were busy with my mobile home renovations and I did have separate money for that but it seems like once I start buying I go over budget in other budget categories as well. This is especially true for the grocery budget. The busier I am the less time I have to plan meals and cook. My food budget doubled during those months. Now I need to stay within budget for the next few months. Six more months will do nicely. Even better if I can get under-budget as I still owe myself around $300 from previous months.
So today the dogs woke me up at 5am. I fed them and tried in vain to get them to go back to sleep. Then I went to the RV and took a nice nap (How can I ever sell the RV? Where will I take my naps?). I had lunch, vacuumed the RV, colored my hair (I know I've waited too long to color my hair when co-workers comment on it being 'multi-colored'), sorted the mail, did some cooking and watched TV online. I can't say much progress was made but my normal chores got done.

Sounds like good weekend. Not wasted but not too pressured either. I like the idea that the cat needs her own room. Your animals are not spoilt in any way!
If it was that hot here, I would spend all of my money on ice cream and popsicles.
Lizzie, princess kitty certainly deserves the finest things. It is also for my sanity too since I don't think the mixing of my cat and dogs will be a pleasant and quiet affair. I need my sleep!
Over the cubicle, sherbet and Squirt soda is my summer drink of choice. Luckily sherbet is pretty cheap compared to ice cream. Popsicles always made me nervous. Too much dripping and will they or won't they fall off the stick...I can't take the risk! :P
