On the open road, truck vs. pack rat wouldn't be much of a contest. Parked in my driveway, the pack rat has the upper paw. I got up early today and drove out to the thrift store. I am so tired of my work wardrobe I just wanted a few new items. I gathered an arm load of clothes and tried them all on but I only 3 shirts made my final list. Why are large shirts too tight and extra large are like tents? At least 3 shirts are good enough to breathe a little bit of life in to my closet.
On the way home the truck started to shake while idling, then shake again when accelerating. I thought it might be bad gas since the tank was very low. I got more gas but it didn't help, then the 'check engine' light went on. I stopped at a repair shop on the way home and an hour later they gave me the bad news. One of the cylinders is misfiring. They think that the pack rat has chewed something important but they won't know for sure until they take it all apart. The estimate to take it all apart...$380. Plus the cost of fixing what ever is wrong. Oh boy. I drove the truck home and I will drop it off on Monday before work. Hopefully my carpool won't mind picking me up at the repair shop.
I came home and took a nap. The weather change gave me a sinus headache again. I didn't get anything done in the mobile home but tomorrow is a new day. I did manage to catch one of the dogs doing this:
I think I know who my trouble maker is.

Is there sometihng you can spray the underside of the truck with, as a deterant? Must be very frustrating.
Naughty dog is cute dog though got to admit!
what's the dog doing, I can't tell?
Lizzie, I can put poison blocks in the engine. I did that for my other car and the pack rats got back at me by dying on the seats. Not pretty.
Anonymous, the dog is dumping the water dish. He had just splashed most of the water out with his paw. I'm sure he is the one who is playing doggy water park with the water dish in the house.
Dogs love playing in water. Baths they hate, but other water is like a party.
Over the cubicle, I'd love to see what they do with a kiddie pool as long as they can't come in the house all wet and muddy. Jimmie would probably just try to dump it.
