Work Stress

I'll just rant about work a little and then I can forget it for the weekend. That mistake I made a few weeks ago, well it came back to haunt me. I emailed the customer to find out where to ship and he said to send them both to a certain address. I read his email again...BOTH??? I only ordered one part! I panicked for a while and call someone else to see if we had any of the other part in stock. We had a few. I waited until my boss came back today and asked him about it. Luckily, his reaction was "they didn't order that part" instead of "of course they want the part too". So at least it wasn't my fault. Then we called the customer together to get some details. Turns out he was thinking of another order from last month...whew. No crisis.

The rest of the day was really busy. I think everyone was playing hot potato with the stuff on their desk. You know, when you don't want to be the last one holding on to a project? If it is off your desk then you can go home with a clear conscious. Our office is the last one open so it is an easy game to win. I just send out all my emails right before 5pm and my job is done. At least it is done until Monday when I turn on my computer and find a full inbox from the people on the East coast. Oh well. I will try not to think about work any more this weekend. I get to spend the weekend cleaning because my parents are dropping in for a visit and I don't want the place to smell like cat or dog or dog or dog.

Forget about that work stuff and have some fun with your parents. Maybe they will adopt one of your foster dogs. Or two.

Ha...no. I never had a dog growing up because my parents didn't want one. That's one of the reasons I wanted to try having a dog now. It took me 37 years to figure out I was old enough to have my own dog.

No more work for a couple of days, the stress can wait. DIY and dogs will soon clear your mind of intrusions.
Enjoy your weekend
