I made a mistake at work today and I knew I was going to get in trouble. I really wanted to clean out my desk and call a cab to take me home. Wouldn't that be great if I was in a position to do that? I could just say I needed a personal day and then go home until they missed me. If they didn't miss me then I could just stay home. What a lovely thought.My mistake wasn't that bad and my boss was understanding although a bit annoyed. He is the one that will get yelled at for it. I am hoping I can fix my mistake by bribing fellow co-workers with cookies so that they will put my project first. So far it looks promising.
It was another beautiful day outside while I was trapped indoors. These are the days that I like. I don't need the heater and I don't have to wear 5 layers of clothes. Of course on Saturday I will be trapped outdoors for 6 hours at a dog adoption event. Being trapped anywhere is not a good thing. At least there will be a lot to see. This is a once a year event with all sorts of rescued animals for adoption from cats to llamas. I'll be lucky if I don't some home with a horse or two.

Don't worry about it, we all make mistakes some time. The adoption event sounds kind of fun. I've always wanted a llama.

One of the stories at my old job was of a guy who went outside for a smoke break and never came back in. That was before my time though.

Over the Cubicle, maybe I should take up smoking, or at least pretending. I was working one place where 2 coworkers ran off together. Just didn't show up that morning and never saw them again. It was pretty scandelous.
