Yesterday the dog rescue lady called me and wanted to know if I would take in a young puppy. A mama and 4 puppies needed to be rescued from the pound. I said sure, and if needed I could take 2. I figured that I would only have them for a couple of weeks since small puppies get adopted fast. This morning I packed up my dog crate, some towels, collars and leashes. I even stopped at the store before work and bought a bag of puppy food and some diapers so that they could run around the office without any accidents.
Wouldn't you know it, they didn't need me after all. I was a little bit disappointed because it would have been a nice diversion today but they would have been a lot of work. I'm sure I'll have many opportunities for puppy fostering this year. Now I am a little more prepared. At least I have plenty of diapers!

One can never have too many puppy diapers. It may not seem like it now, but when you get a puppy or three...
Lots of fun coming your way when you finally get one.
I sense some sarcasm in your comment.
not really - puppies are a lot of fun.
Puppy diapers?!
KoBold, they do sell puppy diapers but I just bought regular ones and was going to cut a hole for the tail.
