Muddling Through

I woke up this morning and, yep, still sick. The dogs and I slept in until 8:30. I got up and studied my to-do list. Only 2 chores needed to be done on Saturday, buy a door and get a dog license. I decided to put them off until after Christmas. Then the phone rang. Someone was interested in one of my dogs and wanted to meet. I try to be as accommodating as possible when people call about the dogs because they change their minds so fast. So I agreed to meet her at a dog park in town and while I was on that side of town I could do the license and buy the door.

The dog park went well other than the fact that the dog I took hates the dog park. He is afraid of all of the dogs. Even the little ones growled at him. The lady liked him but wasn't ready to make a decision yet. Then I drove over to the dog pound to pay $15 for a license. And then over to the Habitat store for another $10 door.

Once back home I napped away the afternoon and was only interrupted by another phone call for the same dog. Another lady wants to see him tomorrow. I don't mind taking the dog to meet people but it makes running other errands a little more difficult. I need to go to Petco, the grocery, and the hardware store. All quick trips I hope.

After tomorrow I will have plenty of supplies for all of my projects but not enough time to work on them. But once I come back from my Christmas vacation I won't have any excuses...except for the usual ones: weather, illness, dog adoption stuff...etc....

hope u r feeling better soon. I have been a follower for a few months and love your progress reports. We have 5 rescue dogs, 2 cats and 11 chickens that keep us busy on our homestead.

Congrats on that mortgage number!

Good luck with the pups. It would be nice to be able to adopt one out before you need to have it kenneled for the holidays.

Hope you are feeling better. Maybe you will be over it just in time for work! :p

Thanks Kim. 5 dogs, wow, do they all get along? My 3 aren't the best of friends but they tolerate eachother.

Over the Cubicle, I did mention to the lady I met today that the poor doggy was going to have to be boarded for Christmas. Maybe she'll feel sorry for him and adopt him this week.
