Well, not my home but my sister's home. My sister and her kids all came down with the H1N1 virus this week just days after her kids got the nasal vaccine. It takes 8 days to build up an immunity so the vaccine was too late. My sister couldn't get the vaccine because she is 8 months pregnant and she can't have the nasal vaccine. They haven't been able to provide enough injectable vaccines for all of the people who need them.
My sister was hospitalized today with a very high fever. Please keep her and her unborn baby in your thoughts and prayers. We are all very worried.

I'll do it. Thankfully it sounds like they are in good hands at a hospital. That puts all the financial 'worries' in perspective.
Yes it does. Life has no guarantees no matter how much money I save. I guess the best that money can do is create more options.
8 months pregnant and high fever?
Even toes are kept crossed for her.
I just got my shots for "regular" and swine flu last Monday. 3 more days to go to take full effect.
It is crazy how many people think it is not necessary to get innoculated, "because swine flu is overhyped". Let them be right.
THinking of you all
Lizzie
I will keep them in my prayers.

Oh no, I'm sure that's frightening for everyone--praying for a speedy recovery.
I've been lurking for a loooong time and just wanted you to know that I too am sending tons of prayers and wishes to your family. So scary!
Oh that is awful! My sister is also pregnant. I will pray for your sister and her unborn child. She is in the best place that she can be.
Prayers are with your sister and family!
Hey KoBold, you got the shot? Mail some over! It is quite scarce here.
Thanks everyone for you comments and support. It is very scary. My mother has been worrying that this might happen and then it did. The rest of my sister's family seems to have made it through ok but some got it a lot worse than others.
