A Little Too Much Retail Therapy

I've been spending a little too freely on the puppies. I finally sat down and totaled up the cost. $872. Wow, how did it get so high so fast? Now I get to figure out how to pay for it.

My tenants dropped off $900 in rent money today. They are still $400 behind but this is good progress. I am using $600 of that money to put towards my mortgage. That is what should have gone towards my extra July payment. I am skipping my extra payment for August and instead using the money to pay off my $1,000 medical bill and to pay off some of the puppy expenses. I am using $300 from my donation fund for the puppies also and it looks like I'll have to use September's donation fund too since I went a little crazy with the shopping.

So what does this do to my pay off timeline? Well, I am still at the 1 year and 3 month mark. Hopefully I will get back on track and make some progress next month.

But now I have another unexpected bill. The air conditioner in my RV broke last night at midnight. It wasn't so bad because it was around 75 last night. I had to put the cat in the mobile home in an adjoining room to the puppies. I'm glad I had that area already set up with a window air conditioner. Oh, and I got some help with my chainlink kennel finally so the puppies can come and go as they please but can't jump out.

When I got home from work today it was 104 inside the RV. My poor computer is cooking. I have all of the windows open and a box fan in the door. Maybe it will be cool enough to sleep around midnight. I could go sleep with the puppies and kitty next door in the mobile home but I'd rather have the quiet and comfort of my own bed. Tomorrow I will call the RV repairman. I hate to do it because of the $80 service call fee plus whatever he has to fix. I looked at the 10 day forecast to see if I could survive without AC but next week the low is only supposed to be 83. It will be hard to sleep. I need to either pay the price or sleep in the mobile home. Hmmm. I can be frugal in some areas but if it interferes with my sleep, I draw the line. Maybe it won't cost that much...I hope.

Hope it is something simple. Did you check all the fuses/circuit breakers?

Whatever it is, some things are worth paying for. AC in August in Arizona seems like one of those things.

It makes noise but the blower motor won't start. It started having trouble after the power went on and off around 6 times in 10 minutes last month. I wish I could fix it myself.

Too many starts and stops in a short period can reek havoc on an electric motor. At least it can on a motor linked to a pump. We have to watch that in the work I do. I'm guessing it is the same for AC blower motors??

It has done this before. Last time I was in Yuma and it was much hotter. The poor cat was panting like a dog. At least this time I have a place for the cat to go. It's a little different sound though which makes me think the motor really died. Still 91 in here...now I'm panting.
