Weekend Bliss

Friday is here and I am happy even though that means it is time for the weekend chore list. Right now I don't feel like doing any chores at all. It is very windy and I don't want to go outside until it calms down. The weatherman says that won't be until Sunday.

I have an appointment for an oil change tomorrow so I have to do that. Since I will be out I can go to the hardware store and use my $5 off coupon. I decided that I should buy some new batteries for the solar yard lights that I rescued from my house, to see if that will revive them before I throw them away.

Then I have to take my truck to the inspection station before I can renew my registration and since I am going that way I can take my recycling to the library.

Taking the stuff to the donation center is on my list again. Maybe I'll stop at the thrift store too. I need a pair of jeans and some shirts that I can wear to work.

I also need to dig a basin around my baby trees so that the water will collect farther away from their trunks and the roots will follow. Soon it will be too hot for digging.

That fuzzy picture up there is my attempt at photographing a roadrunner bird. They are cool but too quick. Have a great weekend!

Over the Cubicle, I tried to get a coyote last week but he was too quick. But I guess coyotes are pretty common. When the weather gets warmer the tarantulas come out. They like to pose for pictures.

rinny, ya, the thrift store usually cures my shopping craving. Hopefully I can find some good stuff for under $10.

Yes Lizzie, there are roadrunners. They are much smaller than the cartoon though and don't usually use anvils and dynamite to fend off Mr. Coyote.

Dont always have dynamite? So they do sometimes. I really want to come visit.

Ha, who knows what they do when I'm not watching. They are pretty sneaky. Come on over! Plenty of desert for camping.
