Restricted Internet At Work-What a Bummer

Today I went in early to work and checked my personal email, scanned the local and national news and clicked on my favorite blogs. There are about 6 blogs that I read everyday. Much to my dismay my work computer security program, Websense, blocked all of the blogger blogs. I knew it was only a matter of time before they were blocked but I wish it wasn't so soon. I don't spend a lot of time on them. It only takes a few minutes to read a new post but that fun is gone now. They just keep finding new ways to make my job less tolerable. I guess I can think of it as more motivation to pay off my mortgage and move on to a job that I love regardless of pay. I have to endure for 4 more years. 3 years and 10 months to be more accurate. I've paid one month and I have a one month cushion.

At least I can still see some blogs that own their own web sites like Get Rich Slowly and The Simple Dollar. At least until the IT people see that I am visiting those sites. That was my only stress reliever besides snacking which is a very costly habit in many ways. They have also disconnected the music player on the computer but I can still bring in my own CD player and head phones. I'll just have to spend my few free minutes playing with my mortgage amortization calculator, designing my little house and dreaming of the view from my property (pictured above). They can't keep me from doing that. It isn't on the internet.

I guess I can look forward to catching up on the blogs when I get off of work in the evening. If I ever get to go home. I stayed until after 6 tonight. Too much filing to do. No matter how much I complain, I am still glad to be employed. My job is the backbone of my frugal schemes so I do appreciate it, even if it is a love/hate relationship.

Can you always pay more than one extra payment and get your house pay off even earlier?

My mortgage plan is pretty aggressive. I am renting out the house (beginning next Monday) and moving in to my RV. My renters will cover the $800 mortgage (I only have enough rent to cover 6 months so far) and I will pay the $800 that I used to pay for my mortgage plus an extra $400 scraped up from my budget which equals $1200 each month. that will have my house paid off in 3 years and 10 months. The biggest challenge is finding renters.
