If I quit my job, health insurance will be the next biggest expense in my budget after housing. After searching health insurance quotes on-line I found one for $138 per month. It is an HSA (Health Savings Account) with an $1800 deductible. All I have to do is put $1800 in an approved interest bearing account and I can use that money to cover any medical bills I have.
Of course I will have to put more money in as I deplete the account. After the deductible is spent, any other medical bills are covered 100% in a calendar year. The account grows tax free and I can put more in each year. Sounds like it might work for me.
