Is It the Weekend Yet?

Why do weekends always go by so fast?  Maybe because weekends are only 2 days long and weekdays are 5 days?  That might have something to do with it.  Another weekend flew by but it was a good one.  I had time to run errands, get chores done and relax.  I bought a ticket for my nephew to come back for Christmas.  He will be here for 10 days.  He seems to like going to school and living with his grandparents but he still gets bored and wishes they let him play video games.  I sent the wii last week but he hadn't been able to play it for one reason or another.  I'm still hoping he wants to go stay there for all 4 years of high school.  I'm trying to think of non-video game toys that I can send him so that he won't be bored.  Maybe I can get him interested in building models or something other "grandparent approved" activity.  It will be snowing there soon, hopefully sledding and snow forts will keep him occupied.

It is Tuesday already, only 3 more days until the weekend.  I have been weeding the yard little by little when I get home from work.  I'm over halfway finished.  After I am done I can buy more loads of rock to spread around.  I also want to go out to my property and go visit my parents but I can realistically only pick one of those activities per weekend.  The weather will finally be in the low 80's so I could go out to the property and start cleaning out the garage...or...I can wait until it gets a little colder so that the snakes are more likely to be sleeping.

I'm trying not to get too stressed out about time tables and deadlines.  They are my own deadlines so I can move them, right?  The only real deadline is that I want the garage torn down before it falls down.  Hopefully, I will have a few more months or even years before it that happens.

I think that is my semi-retirement goal. 5 day weekends!

My last part-time work deal was working 2 (non-consecutive) days per week. This left me with a 3-day or 4-day weekend, depending on which days I worked in a given week. It was good for a while until I decided that 2 dyas were 2 days too many so I reduced it to zero days. :)
