Ready For My Summer Break

My nephew is off visiting his grandparents for the next 4 weeks, the last of the puppies got adopted today, and I'm caught up on my cleaning (for the most part).  Too bad it is already 10pm and I have to work tomorrow.  There are so many other things that I would like to accomplish.

I'm ready for a break.  I'm trying to keep my free time open as much as possible so that I don't have so many schedule conflicts.  Our rescue group is shutting down so they won't be calling me to take more dogs which is good because that's how I got the last group of puppies and that was a 3 month commitment.  

The weather is terribly hot and the rain is starting in the afternoons.  It is pretty early for the monsoons.  My evaporative cooler can't handle the humidity so the temperature in the house is an uncomfortable 86F when I get home from work.  The only thing that makes it bearable is the ceiling fan.  I have a window AC unit and I am going to try it out in the laundry area.  At least I can sit in front of it if it gets too hot in the rest of the house.
