Home Again

I made it home. I left an hour later than I had planned but luckily there wasn't much traffic and I made it home by 6:30 after I picked up my 2 dogs. My little dog was so happy to see me he just jumped all over me and licked my face. I wish I had a video of him. He was so excited. My bigger dog was happy too but he had been in a fight with one of the other dogs and he wasn't in a good mood. They are both sleeping soundly on my bed tonight. The foster dogs aren't here yet. I will pick them up tomorrow.

It was an interesting trip. The best part was seeing everyone and that we got to stay at the beach. The bad part was the getting sick part and all of the noises at the beach and very little insulation in the walls. It was very hard to get a good nights sleep and the people talking, beeping microwave and clinking spoons in the morning made it impossible to sleep in. One of those white noise machines would have come in very handy. I must remember to put that on my Christmas list.

Well, I am home and I wish I had more time before work on Monday and I also wish I could have stayed at the beach longer. Shouldn't I at least get an extra day because I was sick on a holiday? We were just starting to figure out a routine. It takes a while for 19 people to figure out how to maneuver around each other in a small space. Next time it should be 2 weeks. One week to get all the chores, sickness, whatever, out of the way and the next week to have fun and relax! Oh...and next time I should get to bring my dogs. I saw so many dogs on the beach. My dogs would have loved that.

Glad you had a good time despite the sickness, noise and so on. Yep, next year, extra time dogs and all!

Good to see you back here again, Daizy. I was out of town for Thanksgiving, having left Wednesday morning and returned Saturday afternoon but have not really gotten back on track here at home until today (Sunday). I was able to check in with your blog here to see if there were any new entries.

Are you in that beach picture or did you take that picture yourself?

Lizzie, I think we only do that every 10 years so it will be a while until the next one.

Oh no, Dave, I wasn't in the picture. I took it but those are the brave northerners of the family. They thought it was warm. I was the cold Arizonan in 3 layers dipping my toes in the water.
