There Is A Reason Why They Are Cheap

Tomorrow I am going to look at a few more houses. My realtor has already contacted the agents. 2 are HUD homes, 1 is a short sale, 1 is a cash only trashed house and 1 is an owner seller. I was particularly interested in the owner seller home because it has a 1 car garage and an inside laundry room. Then she sent me an email and said the listing agent told her that the house is infested with cockroaches. It was just sprayed and it might take a few weeks for them to die off. Oh joy! This house hunting stuff is an adventure! My realtor said she didn't want to go in so I said that maybe I can just look over the fence at the back yard. She gave in after that and said she would try to be brave but would probably scream if any roach fell on her. Eewww...I'm not very hopeful about this house anymore. I wonder if the indoor laundry is adding to the roach problem. They do tend to come up the pipes here when it rains.

I am predicting that it will be a very fast home tour. At least I can say I looked.

I wouldn't buy a house with a roach infestation. I am sure spraying the house reduced the population, but those darn things get everywhere. I'll bet there are plenty more where those came from. Yuck!

Petunia, The only way I could see is if I had someone come in and seal every opening and crack. But right now the place reeks of insecticide. The house is not only infested, it has been poisoned! Where's the bulldozer?
