I had a lovely day hanging out with the dogs and then I went to a dog training open house. My 2 little dogs came along for the ride. I expected there to be food when I got there but there were only a few snacks on the table and I picked up something that looked like a cookie. After one bite I thought that it must be one of those healthy cookies, then it dawned on me that it was a homemade dog biscuit! Ick. I stuck around until the real food was ready and then got home around 4. Too bad so much of this weekend was spent driving back and forth in to town.
The weather was great today, only around 85. That's probably the last good weather we will have for the rest of the Summer. It is going to be over 100 by the end of the week. I managed to get 3 loads of laundry done but it is still too hot to work on my fence. I'm just going to have to get up early on the weekends and go outside and work instead of going back to bed. It is the only way I am going to get anything done outside for a while.
Update...I went outside and the sun was setting and it was nice and cool so I worked on my fence, tacking it together in a few spots and reinforcing one of the fence posts. It is a good fence now but not great. When my little fence-eater gets returned later this week she will show me the weak spots. Maybe she will be happy in the yard if the other dogs are with her.
It's a short week so it shouldn't be too bad. I'll just focus on getting through one day at a time.

Yummm cookies!!!
Too funny.
The upside of the upcoming heat that laundry will dry extra quick.
Glad you had a good day and it made up for the cookie
Anonymous, and I thought I had finally found something to eat! So disappointing.
KoBold, would you believe that line-drying laundry is the one thing that I don't do? Yes, I use a dryer even when it is 110 outside because it is the only way to get the dog hair off of everything.
Lizzie, I wish I could have brought all of my dogs (although the hostess probably wouldn't have appreciated it). The 2 that I brought were so tired afterwards.
