Dog Of The Week

Today I saw it. The dog with only 24 hours left. He was black and tan, of my favorite colors for dogs. I was willing to foster him myself but since I still have a large male dog, I decided to ask a friend who was thinking about fostering. She said yes and I went and got him after work and tomorrow I will drop him off at the vet and she will pick him up and take him to her house.

While I was there I looked for a little one that I have been watching. Her pups were stillborn last week and now she is just waiting for someone to rescue her. Since the big boy was a very easy going dog, I scooped her up too and she rode quietly behind my seat while the big dog rode next to me.

So far everyone is getting along. I have to get up early tomorrow in order to get to the vet so that won't be fun. I am sure the dogs will wake me up. They are very good at that.

I was bored a lot and watched a lot of bad tv. There are a lot of dogs that get put down that I never see. The only reason this dog got 24 hours was that he was so nice and licked the hand of the person that worked there. The staff was rooting for him to be rescued. The problem is that leg injuries can be costly and no one has the money right now. His owners turned him in because they took him to the vet and the vet said it would cost $1500 to fix his leg. The rescue that I foster for told me to wait until the last minute because they wanted someone else to get him. Luckily, when I got there he was able to walk and it looks like he didn't break anything.
