My plan worked! I brought a suitcase full of dirty laundry to my sister's house and now I have a suitcase full of clean clothes. I wish I had brought more dirty clothes!
I had a lovely Day After Christmas. The kids waited to open their presents until I arrived so it was just like Christmas morning. I still haven't gone shopping with them so there were no gifts from me but I think we will be braving the malls tomorrow.
The flight was very festive. The Southwest flight attendants not only decorated the plane with lights, they wore Santa hats, had blinking light necklaces, recited the safety rules to "Twas the Night Before Christmas", sang to us when we could turn on our electronics, and passed out candy. Plus, the seats were much more comfortable than US Air and they didn't charge for luggage. I think I know which airline I will be flying from now on.
