I tried to go get a flu shot at the closest CVS but it didn't have a Minute Clinic inside and since my insurance only pays if I get it at a clinic or doctor's office, I couldn't get the shot at the pharmacy. Next I went to Home Depot for some chicken wire that I want to put on top of the dog run to make sure the hawks don't steal my puppies once they are big enough to roam outside. After that I did a little pet store shopping for food and treats. The last bag of food had coupons in it including $5 off my next purchase. I stocked up, of course.
We got 5 adoptions today which is great. Afterwards I loaded up my truck again, minus the dog, and headed home with a few stops. First I went to Big Lots for food and more dog stuff. Almost every time a dog gets adopted they walk away with a leash and collar. Then I stopped at the recycling collection place to dump my 3 bags. Finally I made it to the CVS with the Minute Clinic. Turns out they close at 5:30 and I made it there with 5 minutes to spare. I got my flu shot and I really hope I don't get sick from the nurse who was coughing and had lost her voice. That would be a bummer.
I came home in the dark, put everything away, made some soup and bread and butter and boiled some noodles for lunch next week. It is so quiet with only 4 dogs and 4 tiny puppies. I don't want to get any new dogs yet. I am trying to wait until next year so I am not overwhelmed by the puppies once they are mobile.
Anyway, it was a very productive day. The only thing that I didn't do was laundry. I don't have much water for that anyway. Maybe I can get away with skipping a week.

So busy, you make me feel like my weekends are very unproductive.
can you do your laundry at a shop in town? I have used a service wash a couple of times when life was getting on top of me.
I have thought about a laundromat. Not many of them around anymore. If I get really desperate that is what i will have to do. It does take a lot of time to babysit the laundry although I could just wash it there and haul it home to dry. This could work out especially well for really icky dog things. I have a dog bed that is super gross and really needs a washing. The trick is to find a laundomat in a good part of town.
