Happy Rent Money

Few things brighten up my day like rent money. The rent is due today and I was starting to get worried because I had not heard anything from my tenant in a while. But at 3:30 she appeared with the rent. She is still a little behind from last month but I agreed to let her pay it over time. Because she was a little short I won't make it to my goal of being in the teens this month. I will be $99 short. Oh well, it wasn't that important. I hope to make the extra payment tomorrow after my paycheck goes in.

And in other news, my sister told me that the bills that she put out for the mail pick-up were stolen out of her mailbox today. I hear that happens a lot here. I won't put anything in the mailbox outside of work because it can be opened and I had something disappear once. Luckily the mailbox at the end of my street is locked. She will have to contact her bank tomorrow and get a new account opened so that she can pay all of her bills. What a hassle. Maybe it's time for her to switch to online bill pay. I like online bill pay much better. It even saves a stamp. Hopefully her bank will make it easy to cancel her account and open a new one. This is when customer service really counts. Good luck Sis.
