The Flight Of The Snowbird

Slept late until 6:30, worked all day, picked up bananas and milk for my parents, fed and said hi to the dogs, delivered bananas and milk, ate dinner with my parents, home, shower, blog and bed.

At dinner, my father actually said that he would be willing to get on an airplane if my mom wanted him to. That is momentous because my dad has not been on a plane since he retired. He reluctantly went on business trips for work but hated every minute of it. Now that driving is becoming a chore he is actually considering flying as an alternative. I'm writing this as back-up documentation of his little announcement. My mom was so surprised that she ran and got a pen and paper and had him sign a note confirming his willingness to fly. Maybe next year they will fly down here for the winter like real snowbirds. I really hope they do. My mom is really enjoying herself and I hope my dad is too. Now I just need to make this rain go away...

On the A Team, they always had to give Mr T some milk with pills in it to make him fall asleep. The they put him on the plane. Is that what the milk you delivered was for? :)

I recall them using less low-key methods for getting him on planes.

Too funny. I was never allowed to watch it enough to remember that. My mom and I joked about drugging my dad's chocolate pudding. He might never eat pudding again. :P

How funny. I just decided to fly again, too. I am tired of the 1200 mile drives up to see the parents. He must be getting tired, too.
