The good part of the day was that I got a free lunch. There was a meeting that I wasn't involved in but I got invited along for lunch anyway. Since I missed out on the Christmas dinner I guess this makes up for it. It was a very nice lunch and I brought the rest of my chicken pot pie back to the office for lunch tomorrow.
They were joking about the extra donuts, bagels and rolls that were leftover and I said I would eat them for the rest of the week and freeze any extras to eat after my vacation. They thought that was hilarious. Well, I'll save the bagels and rolls but I'm not fond of old donuts. And that jalapeno bagel can go to someone else...ick.

Easy solution on the frozen donuts. Just eat them all in one sitting when they are fresh :)
And send me the jalapeno bagel!
The donuts if later crushed under pudding work as crumbs this taste good.
Doughnuts work if slightly warmed through in the microwave. Not sure if your doughnuts are the same though as we seem to use the same name for very differnt things sometimes.
Like the name 'unprepared tax'. I pay a lot of that by rebuying what i already own but cant find. I am a mupet.
Over the Cubicle, if I had known about the donuts in the morning there would not be any left now! Your jalapeno bagel is in the mail, it might be a little flat.
Anonymous, that is an interesting idea. Usually I am trying to resist donuts but I wouldn't want to waste food.
Lizzie, I find the quality of donut makes a difference with re-heating. Donut store donuts are good, grocery store donuts not so good.
I too buy what I can't find or forget how many I have. Luckily I can usually use the item. I just did that last week. Bought my 3rd bottle of bleach because I wasn't sure if I was low.
