Yea! I love days off. I have a lot of things that I want to do on my 4 day weekend but in reality I will probably only do two or three. I would love to buy building materials, build a wall and set up a bedroom at the end of my mobile home. The reality is that first I have to move all of the stuff that is in that end of the mobile home or get rid of it and then I have to rip out the very sturdy 2x4 and plywood countertop that the previous owner added. Those two things alone will take all weekend. But that's not all I want to do. I also want to finish my dog fence, add the rainwater collection tank and gutter to my greenhouse, sell some things on craig's list, take a load of trash to the dump and drop off a load of thrift store items.
If I can only pick 3 chores, I will pick the dog fence, thrift store and moving the stuff from the end of my mobile home. Anything else that gets accomplished will be an added bonus. Oh and the dogs busted through the board that I had at the end of the hallway to keep them contained. They had fun today exploring the living room. Luckily they only destroyed one box that had ribbon in it. So now I have to go to the home improvement store and buy either a door for the hallway or a 4x4 sheet of plywood to block their way. I haven't decided yet but either way I have to go all the way in to town which takes about 40 minutes.
I was also supposed to sell my kayak tomorrow but my friend has the flu so it will have to be a different weekend. Too bad. I was looking forward to putting that money towards my mortgage this month.
I plan a few days off too and I plan chores but your sound so much more like hard work to me. However you are providing homes for the four legged homeless so its all good.
Hard work but fun when I get them accomplished. And much better than sitting at a desk all day working for someone else.
