My Tenants And 50%

My tenants came to see me today. They were very sorry that they only had half of the rent for July. They have had one financial set back after another. The wife, with tears in her eyes, said she would understand if I wanted them to move out. I couldn't do it. I know they are trying and I really want them to succeed. I told them not to worry, I would wait for the other half. August rent isn't due until the middle of the month. Maybe one of the refunds that they are waiting for will come through and give them a little breathing room.

I'm going to wait and see if I get more money before making my extra payment for August. I'm hoping it will be a big payment to keep my plan on track. I don't want to be stuck at the one year and 3 month point forever!

Glass half full or empty kind of thing. I will hope for the best for you.

Thanks, my puppy will amuse me while I wait. She is certainly keeping me busy.

I think it's kind of you to be patient with them but did they lose income this month? I'd want to make sure they still were making enough money so this doesn't become a recurring problem for you.

You might want to drive by the house and make sure that things are going ok.

Sallie's Niece, they said it was because they were charged for a car rental when their car was hit and the insurance was supposed to pay them back, then there was Direct TV that took out to much and was going to refund them, and she was sick for a week. I hope it is just a bad month and not a permanent situation.

Yes, Mark, I was worried was about that especially after the mess my last tenants made. I stopped by the house, they weren't home but I looked in the windows and in the yard. It looks neat and clean thank goodness.

My tenants were short $70 this month. So I told them I would forgive the $70 if the husband would take apart a quad for me that I want to part out on ebay (he's out of work). Does your house need any maintenance done?

AlexK, I was thinking about that too. I would give him $100 off the rent to put this dog run together with me. It is a multi-person job. I think I will make the offer. I'm not sure he is the handy type but it couldn't hurt to ask.
