This has been a heck of a week for my finances. Some of it was self-inflicted (the foster puppy shopping spree), some was business related (my tenants with their partial rent payment), and some was inevitable ($1,000 for medical bills). Driving home today I thought about stopping for fast food. I was tired, I haven't had a chance to go grocery shopping and I have spent so much money this week, will a little more matter? But I didn't do it. I remembered what I usually do when I run out of leftovers or quick meals. I cook!
I had alfredo sauce in the fridge, frozen chicken, frozen vegetables and dry pasta. All I had to do was boil the water and put it all together. I had chicken alfredo for dinner, made enough for lunch tomorrow and some extra noodles to eat with spaghetti sauce and cheese later on.
Crisis averted.

your pup is probably waiting for the weekend too. nothing but long walks, chasing a ball, rides in the truck, and other amusements and fun. No rest for you with a pup!
ha, no rides in the truck. It's hard to think of places she can go besides the pet store. I've never been to a dog park, I could try that. This weekend will be focused on putting that dog run together and putting in a dog door. Oh, and not passing out in the heat. Over 100 all weekend. :(
Mine just likes to ride around and look out the window. Supposed to be hot here too, but not 100. Just the 90s
I'm impressed ... I would have caved ..as a matter of fact I drove to town yesterday JUST so I could get fast food ...I know I'm lame...
Congrats on your pup~ she will be lots of company...
LaDawn
LaDawn, the closest fast food was Carls Jr and there was a long line so that helped me make up my mind too. It's not 'fast' if I have to wait 20 minutes! :)
