Looking At Campers Again

I've been doing it again...searching craig's list for old campers. I found this one for only $320. The price was so good that I drove out to see. Of course, it was on the total opposite side of town. When I got there the trailer was in rough shape. The outside looks good but the inside has a lot of water damage around the skylight and on the floor below and around the other windows. It had been used as a storage shed and was full of nuts and bolts, horse shoes, canoe paddles, all sorts of things and a lot of dirt. There was an old metal lunch box in one of the cupboards. I told the guy he should sell the lunch box on ebay. Old metal lunch boxes are quite collectible.

The camper was a 1973 Forester. Not quite the year I was looking for. I want one built before 1970. He had an old Alaskan Up/Down truck camper too. It was in good shape and I would have loved to take it home but it was too big for my truck bed. Too bad. I might have been able to make some money from fixing it up and reselling it. Make some cushions, sew some curtains, give it a good scrubbing, who knows? That could be a source of income for me later on when I quit my job and need part-time income. A lot of people have older trailers in their yards and just want them gone. I might find some hidden gems out there in the desert.

Too bad it was a wreck on the inside, it looks a cool camper.

Craigslist is like a giant Sears Catalog to me. It is fun to browse even if I don't really plan on buying. There doesn't seem to be any shortage of the kind of stuff I might like to have one day, so I don't feel real tempted to buy. If I found something hard to come by, that might be different.

Too bad it's a '73. I need one older than 1970 in order to join the Southwest Vintage Camper Club although they would probably make an exception because it looks like the old style.

What comes with the Club membership?

Well, membership is free, I only need a vintage camper then I can join in on the trailer trash bash! A whole bunch of them have campouts in NM, AZ, CO, and CA. Go to SWVCA dot com for pictures. I'm not saying I'd actually do it but I would like to see all of those old campers!

KoBold that is a nice camper and cheap. Love the pink bathroom :P Will you travel with it or park it somewhere and use it on holiday?

I appreciate the concern which is been rose. The things need to be sorted out because it is about the individual but it can be with everyone. The initiative taken for the concern is very serious and need an attention of every one. This is the concern which exists in the society and needs to be eliminated from the society as soon as possible.
