Unexpected Money

The work day flew by today. Maybe that is because I had 3 days of work to do from being gone last week. Nothing like keeping busy to make time fly. When I got home I collected my mail and found 2 rebate checks, one from the gas company and the other from the Minute Clinic.

When I went to the Minute Clinic back in December the computer asked for a co-pay. My insurance card didn't have a co-pay listed so I gave them $20 because the nurse didn't know how to get around that screen. I was so happy with the service there I would have gladly paid the whole thing myself. Anyway, I wasn't sure if I would get that $20 back but I did. Since I didn't plan on ever seeing it again it's like found money. I can always use an extra 20 bucks. Keep those checks coming!

I like getting unexpected money. $5 in unexpected money is equivalent to $100 dollars in paycheck money.

Do you have mathmatical proof for that theory?

Well, I figure free time is 20 times greater (at least) than time spent at a job, so free money is (at least) 20 times greater than money made from that job. I haven't worked through all of the variables, but I think the theory is pretty solid.
