November was a very good month for my budget. It did help that I was gone for a week on vacation, no gas or food money spent for 8 days(thank you family!). And it did help that I was able to pay for the $400 airplane ticket from my travel fund and other little savings from previous months.
Oh...and the weather was exceptionally nice so my utilities were low, and...gas prices went down and I am still carpooling and... I have been eating the food that I already have in the fridge and pantry and resisting the urge to go grocery shopping although I really need to go again soon.
Here are the totals:
electricity $34
propane $18
internet $37
food $38
gas $48
These categories are subtracted out of my variable budget fund of $447 for items that fluctuate from month to month. Any extra money goes to ME! I have over $250 left over! That is amazing. I think I will put $200 of it towards the mortgage and the rest will go in my maintenance fund. Something is bound to break sooner or later (hopefully later). I love months like that when I come out ahead.

Amazing job!
Hi there-good for you, a fantastic result my dear!
Very pleased you haven't gone spending mad with your vacation. Its so easy to do. How do you manage with 2 weeks holiday a year. Doesnt that contravene your human rights or something! Go sort out the boss!
Lizzie
Over the Cubicle, thanks and hmmm, that tag will give me something to write about this weekend. I'm not procrastinating...no...
Laura and Sharon Rose, thank you very much for your support.
Lizzie, I'm afraid I work with workaholics. They wouldn't know what to do with more vacation time. I'll get 3 weeks vacation after 5 years of service...only 3 more years to go! I hope I'm not still there:) at least not full time.
